RE-ELECT CLEVE
Cleve Dunn, Jr., is honored to announce his candidacy for Metro Councilman in District 6 during the upcoming November election. He is a visionary, strategic thinker, and community leader who believes he can use these skills to bring a fresh perspective in order to address the current challenges in the East Baton Rouge Parish as he done for the past four years in the position.
Dunn has played a significant role in managing several political campaigns and initiatives, as well as actively being a voice for the community. These assets have aided him in being the most impactful candidate for Metro Councilman. The people of District 6 deserve a diligent leader with a proven track record to build a better future for families and businesses, and Cleve Dunn, Jr. is that person.
Cleve humbly asks the community for the opportunity to serve District 6 to focus on economic development strategies, such as increasing contracting opportunities for small, local, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise firms (DBE); bringing a community center to District 6; increasing access to healthcare; and developing a comprehensive plan to address the city's flooding and drainage issues. He believes that these key community necessities are what Baton Rouge has been missing for the past few years, and he is determined to accomplish this for District 6.
He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Stacy Posey-Dunn, for 26 years, and they share two beautiful daughters: Malaysia and Aniya. He graduated from Capitol High School in 1995, attended Southern University and A&M College, and received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
